Precision Engineered
Three core product lines, each manufactured entirely in-house from raw material to finished cylinder.
Gravure Cylinders
Our flagship product line — electro-mechanically engraved gravure cylinders designed for high-speed rotogravure printing. Each cylinder is manufactured from premium steel shells produced in our own base shell facility, engraved with computer-controlled precision, and finished with hard-chrome plating for extended press life.
Key Specifications
- Cell depths: 8–50 microns (customizable)
- Screen rulings: 60–200 lpi (standard), up to 2000 lpi (high-definition)
- Channel angles: 30°, 45°, 60° (optimized for ink system)
- Shell diameters: 100 mm – 800 mm
Applications
Base Shell Manufacturing
A key differentiator for Kreativ Gravures — we manufacture our own cylinder base shells (cylinder bodies) in-house from raw steel. Most gravure cylinder manufacturers purchase base shells from external suppliers, but our vertical integration gives us complete control over material quality, dimensional accuracy, and production timelines. This translates to better cylinders at competitive prices with faster delivery.
Key Specifications
- Raw material: Premium seamless steel tubes (verified incoming quality)
- Manufacturing process: CNC machining for precise dimensional tolerances
- Diameter range: 100 mm – 800 mm
- Length range: 500 mm – 3,000 mm
Applications
Specialty Cylinders
Bespoke engraved cylinders for niche and emerging applications. Our engineering team works closely with clients to develop custom cylinder solutions for unique printing, coating, and finishing requirements that fall outside standard product categories.
Key Specifications
- Custom cell geometries and patterns on request
- Multi-zone engraving (variable screen/volume across cylinder)
- Special coatings: nickel, Teflon, ceramic alternatives
- Non-standard diameters and lengths accommodated
Applications
Engraving Pattern Viewer
Click each pattern type to see how different engraving techniques create unique cell geometries on the cylinder surface.
Select Engraving Pattern
Halftone engraving uses dots of varying sizes to create different ink volumes. Larger dots carry more ink for darker tones, while smaller dots produce lighter areas. Ideal for packaging and label printing.
Base Shell Manufacturing
Unlike most competitors who source base shells externally, we manufacture our own cylinder bodies in-house — giving us complete control over quality, cost, and delivery.

Why This Matters
Vertical integration isn't just a buzzword — it's a competitive advantage that directly benefits your operation.
Quality Control
Every base shell is machined to ±0.01 mm concentricity, verified before plating even begins.
Cost Advantage
Eliminating external suppliers reduces costs by 15-20%, passed on to you.
Faster Delivery
No waiting for third-party shells. We control the entire timeline from raw steel to delivery.
Specifications Comparison
Compare our cylinder grades side by side to find the right solution for your application.
